Gold-tone and silver-tone pieces
Our metal pieces are stainless steel finished with PVD plating. That finish is far more durable than standard gold plating — it will not tarnish, turn your skin green, or wear off with normal handling. Water will not damage it.
- Safe to wear while washing your hands, in the rain, and in the shower.
- Avoid prolonged soaking in chlorinated pools and hot tubs.
- Keep away from perfume, hairspray, bleach and household cleaners — spray first, put jewelry on after.
- Clean with a soft dry cloth. No polishes, no abrasives, no ultrasonic cleaners.
Pearl pieces
Freshwater pearls are organic and need gentler handling than the metal they sit on.
- Take pearl pieces off before showering, swimming or exercising.
- Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry fully before storing.
- Never use chemical cleaners on pearls.
- Put pearls on last, after perfume and lotion have dried.
Stone-set pieces
Set stones are secure but not indestructible. Avoid knocking them against hard surfaces, and check the setting occasionally.
Storing
Keep pieces apart so they do not scratch each other — a pouch or a lined box is enough. Dry, out of direct sunlight.
